Welcome Football Coaches Wives,
Thank you for clicking on the American Football Coaches Wives Association web site.
The AFCWA is a very diverse and inclusive group. Among its members you will find wives of college and university head and assistant coaches, high school and junior college, as well as the NFL, CFL, and Arena league. This diversity makes us a vibrant, exciting organization where we share our experiences and challenges as football coaches wives. Dallas, Texas is the site for our January 2011 convention in conjunction with the AFCA sessions. Workshops are being planned which will offer you a wide variety of opportunities. We will have our traditional "High Tea," a very special time where we honor the current AFCA president's wife. Our Wednesday luncheon, which is always a highlight, will feature some exciting activities.
Our service projects include a scholarship to a coach's wife wishing to further her education. At the convention, we visit and make a donation to an area children's hospital. In addition to the monetary gift, we put smiles on the children's faces as we give them t-shirts, hats, stuffed animals, footballs, etc., from the association's many college and university athletic departments. Our membership has grown to record numbers and we anticipate this trend to continue. We hope you will be able to join us and be a part of this supportive, knowledgeable and caring group.
