| Each
year at convention, we ask wives to bring their school hats,
t-shirts, mascot toys or phone cards to take to the local children’s
hospital in that area. We also ask for signed footballs by players/coaches,
as well, as these are very popular items. We then visit the
Children’s Hospital to deliver all the items. There is
a bus provided for the tour for those who sign up at convention.
On occasion, there have even been a few husbands go with us.
AFCWA also provides a monetary donation to the children’s
hospital each year. Donations may also be made from anyone in
honor of a loved one, etc.
If you are interested
in sending a donation in general or in honor of a loved one,
please make checks payable to AFCWA Hospital Fund along with
a note stating who it is in honor of, as well as an address
advising that person's family of the donation. Please submit
